Program Overview
The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at PLTCI College of Medicine follows a US-pattern curriculum, widely recognized by international medical licensing authorities including the Philippines Medical Board, WHO, and the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India.
The MD program is divided into pre-clinical and clinical phases. The pre-clinical phase (Years 1–2) covers core subjects including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Microbiology with integrated Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The clinical phase (Years 3–4.5) places students in affiliated teaching hospitals with real patient exposure across departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, OB-GYN, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. Graduates are prepared for the Philippine Licensure Examination (PLE) and the FMGE/NExT pathway in India.
